Remember

REMEMBER

A country kitchen held in amber. Bread, a table, the last of the day’s warmth. The painting comes from childhood memories growing up in Tasmania — fruit from the orchard, a house that smelled of baking — this painting does not illustrate those hours. It keeps their temperature: misty at the edges imitating fading memories, gold where the light finds its center and clarity takes hold.
